About Keith Bell
I have lived and worked in the north east of England since I came to Durham University in the 1970s. I had spent all my life painting and spent spare time outside school attending Blackpool Art college.
Whilst at university I designed posters for events and over the years contributed to exhibitions and held solo exhibitions in the North East at the University in Durham and the DLI museum.
When I owned the Crook Hall I set up a gallery in the Hall with many exhibitions organised for local artists as well as having my studio from where I sold my own paintings.
Since selling Crook Hall to the National Trust I have become a full time artist.
In the last two years I have held three regional solo exhibitions One of my paintings was shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
I have also been invited to participate in Sky Landscape Artist of the Year.
